My suggestion to our short film (advertisement)

Hello members.

Sunny and I found a very useful video from YouTube which is an advertisement of RSPCA called ‘Pip the Dog’. I thought it might be very helpful for our film project. In the advertisement, a lonely dog is sitting alone in the street and watching people walking. The dog needs help but people ignore the dog. At the same time, a sad mood of violin music is playing and this music is well matched with the lonely dog. The smooth camera movements and good shots of the dog work well in the advertisement. Especially, the texts that come up in the middle of the ad (with 135,000 animals in care each year) helped people to guess what the ad is about. This ad delivers a message to people that there are a lot of abandoned animals exist so they need your help and donation.

For our group’s advertisement, let’s follow the general concept of the RSPCA ad but little bit differently. For example, instead of using sad violin music, let’s use the ‘lonely’ by Akon as a background song. The song is quite cute and the lyrics of the song will match with the abandoned dog. Also, instead of the message of ‘we need your donation’ (RSPCA ad), our film tries to give a message of ‘They need friends who can give them love’.
