Hell-O 1st Video Gone-skees

Alright! Today we set out for our filming of our 1st video, firstly id like to add that Lauren Preston, our interviewee and education manager of RSPCA, was concise and professional with her words. She had answered everyone of our question with confidence and most importantly detail, she went into depth about how the organisation works to protect animals as well as the psychological factor of why people actually do this horrible behaviour. Wish there was more we could do to repay her.

Every member showed up on time, the sound and video came out how we expected, though a bit of improvisation of the camera angles was used as we had originally planned to film outside Zegafredo café, but due to loud sound problems and a busy atmosphere we had to move into one of the classrooms instead which was fine so we had to adapt to our surroundings through lighting, sound and contrasting it was a fairly dim room.

Anyway, our production for our interview went all according to plan, except we had started late due the traffic problems for Lauren and her colleague Stephanie (unfortunately Israel was busy with his release of his new single as could not make it), which is understandable (Easter break). We got right into it, told them that we will be stopping and cutting each scene after every question asked, as well as letting them read the questions first so they can prepare.

So we got right into it, the questions were answered way past the amount of time and detail that I had originally expected and we had finish in record time of 50 minutes. She had brought along her pet puppy from RSPCA to add to the interview and highlighting the topic and purpose, no problems were encountered thought the dog did have some behavioural issues that include running around, restlessness and a number 2 on the carpet floor… that we subtly cleaned up and Shreshta’s fear of dogs, but she got used to it LOL.

Even after our interview is done, we took our opportunity to show them our products that we had designed as part of our other tasks. We reluctantly offered us advice to improve our current products which we are most grateful for. (Better marks…)

But all in all, we couldn’t thank Lauren, Stephanie and her dog more enough and proud of our team. Wewt.
